OF FROGS & PRINCES

The unexamined life is not worth living.
                                                              Socrates

The most significant task facing the individual is the achievement,
Of harmony between the conscious and unconscious mind.
                                                                       Carl Jung

Love alone is capable of uniting living beings,
In such a way as to complete them and fulfill them,
For it alone takes them and joins them,
By what is deepest in themselves.

                  Pierre Teilhard de Chardin

Of Frogs & Princes is written for those seeking:
Self-understanding and self-healing,
As an introduction to the liberating adventure of:
Psycho- Self-Exploration (PSE).

PSE is a highly effective self-directed form of psychotherapy based predominately upon the principles of Transactional Analysis.   I developed the fundamentals of PSE in 1995 in response to personal difficulties to which both current and traditional trends in thinking offered no hope of an acceptable resolution.  Healers, counselors, friends, and family alike believed that the factors contributing to and promoting the development and perpetuation of my fifteen-year-long addiction to amphetamines must be either genetic in nature or imprinted on such a deep level psychologically as to be completely incurable.
This work is the product of six long years of grappling with those impediments that would come between me and the realization of my hopes and aspirations.  During the final three years, the intensity of the struggle had, at times, reached the level of a pitched battle for survival, with me clinging by my fingernails to the precipice of sanity as the weight of this nightmarish curse threatened to tumble my soul, headlong, into a never-ending descent down the black, yawning maw of the maelstrom of chemical bondage.  Of Frogs & Princes represents the culmination of this million-mile journey out of darkness and the fruition of my labors of the last few years, at last uncovering the answers that I have so fiercely sought.
I now invite you along as I share my story for the benefit of those who still suffer in hopes that they too may make the choice to live.
