STRESS ASESSMENT
 

     Holmes et. al. developed the following social readjustment scale as a objective method for measuring the cumulative stress to which a person has been subjected over a period of time.  For an asessment of current stress level, confine your answers to events of the last year or two.

     As you can see, stress is caused by change. Even a change that we regard as positive is often quite stressful.  A score of 150-199 is considered mild, with 200-299 being moderate stress.  A score of 300 or more for recent events indicates a severe threat to personal well-being.
